Local Mission Opportunities

As a church, we believe you do not have to look far to find someone in need both physically and spiritually. While it is part of the kingdom work we are called to, mission work does not just happen abroad in a third world country! In the book of Luke, God calls us "to love our neighbors as we love ourselves." That's why we regularly seek out opportunities within the community to love and serve others. Community Help Network and Buddy Bags Mission:

The Mission of Community Help Network, Inc. is to provide programming to help eliminate food insecurity and systemic poverty in South Lake County, Indiana. We serve those citizens in our community that dwell in poverty, acclaiming their diversity with equity and inclusiveness.

So, let’s come together to make a positive impact in our community. Donate today and help us ensure that no child in South Lake County goes hungry. Together, we can make a difference!

“Never do nothing just because you can only do a little.”

Rebuilding Together provides free home modifications and repairs to low-income homeowners, making homes safer, more accessible, and more energy efficient. We accomplish this mission through a single Rebuilding Day each year. This one-day rebuilding blitz harnesses the donations of skills, materials, and funds to accomplish repairs on approximately 10 homes in the community during this single day. We call this rebuilding day "Christmas in September", as it typically occurs in mid-September.

Kids Hope USA

At Kids Hope USA, we believe that all kids matter to Jesus and that the local church is uniquely called to care for children in their community who would benefit from another caring, reliable relationship.

Research shows that the common factor in determining a child’s future success is if they have stable, committed, healthy relationships with adults in their lives. For Kids Hope USA students, one of those relationships gets to be with their mentor.

Through proven church-school partnerships, mentors stand alongside parents, teachers, principals and counselors to ensure kids that they are valued and loved. Through the power of relationship, kids build resilience and a brighter future.
