Free to Be Me Ministry

The Free To Be Me Ministry reflects our desire, at Crown Point CRC, to help each person, no matter their ability level, to Radiate, Raise, and Reach.

A sensory friendly worship space is available during the 9 am and the 10:30 am worship services.  This takes place in the room nearest door 2.  A live stream of the worship service will play during this time, an offering is taken, and communion is distributed just as in worship in the sanctuary. Comfortable seating and sensory assists (lap weights, fidgets, etc.) are also available.

For those with visual impairments, large print Bibles and printouts of the message are available at the Welcome Center.  For those with hearing impairments, a looping system is installed in the center section of seating in our worship center.  Those who have hearing aides are encouraged to activate their telecoil, with the help of their audiologist, if a telecoil exists.  If a telecoil is not available in your hearing aid or if you don’t wear hearing aids, you’re encouraged to pick up a receiver from the tech booth that will assist you in hearing the worship service.  You’re welcome to bring your own 1/8” ear buds from home or we have them for you at the tech booth.

We are eager to pair children with One on One Buddies (trained individuals who can offer extra support to children 3 years old through sixth grade) for Sunday morning Crown Town when this would be helpful for their spiritual growth and development.
